This week the New Moon in Taurus helps us to feel more connected to the earth plane, focusing our attention on practical matters which help to establish a strong foundation in the self. The introspection that comes with the New Moon has a natural tendency to slow us down, helping us to rekindle a slow and more gentle part of our being. When the Moon is in Taurus, she allows the physical body to take the reins. It is often difficult to ignore the body’s desires, cravings and loud screams for affection when the Moon is strongly positioned in the fixed earth sign. Humans are constantly trying to transcend their ties to the earth/the body because being in the body is oftentimes a painful experience. The body’s drive to attain pleasure can come at a significant cost to the health and well being of a person, though carnal in its ambitions, the body’s awareness of itself is more intelligent than we give it credit for. Listen to your cravings, hear what your body is trying to tell you because when the New Moon in Taurus comes around, we are being directed to listen to and answer for the way that we treat our temples.

Mercury conjuncts Chiron this week, taking us on a healing journey with the way that we communicate and think about independence. Isolation and loneliness have become endemic to societal structures, which have further divided us into multiple sub roups of over one million categories and archetypes. The fervor in which we crave to see ourselves reflected in the other is magnified when we are constantly hyperfocusing on our differences and what sets us apart. When Mercury and Chiron meet in Aries, there is a coming to Jesus moment that will show us the underlying motives and triggers behind the words that we use, especially when it comes to talking about the self or individual needs. How do you confront someone who you feel did you wrong or is opposed to you? Do you repress the frustration/anger deep into the pit of your stomach or do you lash out reactively? This week is a good time, when Mercury and Chiron make contact to examine and mend the way that we talk about ourselves as well as identifying any self-isolating communication patterns.

Monday 6th

The energy moves from lightning speed to a snail’s pace real quick today when the Moon ingresses into Taurus from Aries. Right as the Moon enters Taurus she meets with Pluto, who is forcing some kind of emotional release on security. There is opportunity to heal the way that we communicate or use words as a healing tool that will propel wellness and a holistic balance with mind and body.

Tuesday 7th

The New Moon in Taurus is at 8:21pm PDT, the mood is certainly introspective but it is also quite calm. There is really stable energy coming through which allows for us to open up vulnerably. We can make time to map out future prospects and also lay the ground work for long term projects. Taurus feeds our soul and nurtures the body so we can also take this day to reconnect with the vessel and tend to its needs.

Wednesday 8th

Our friendships take the front seat today whether it’s through the simple desire to connect with others or chat on the phone all night long, the energies are conjuring a need to share space with community. The Moon enters chatty Gemini which perks up the mind and makes it so that the phone is never silent. Make sure you set some time aside for those spontaneous distractions because today there may be quite a few.

Thursday 9th

Time to get serious and implement new methods, tools or plans that had made themselves known during the new moon. The Moon makes a square to Saturn which generates tension within us to open up and share what we know but there is a tinge of difficulty since it is a new skill that we are developing. A new topic, a new way of implementing our communication abilities that can either come out sounding like a dying frog or a cute stumbling kitten. Try not to be so hard on yourself or expect perfection especially when learning something new.

Friday 10th

While our mental faculties are in an above average and witty state, our ability to understand and articulate how we are feeling is lagging. It’s a good day for quick banter, cracking jokes and brevity for most of the day until the Moon enters Cancer later in the evening/early morning. The mood can switch from all smiles to tears with one simply misunderstanding. Take care to not take things too seriously today and if you do, know that the Moon is influencing our sensitivity levels.

Saturday 11th

We might be feeling a bit testy today with the Moon’s sharp aspect hitting Mars in Aries. Whatever we are feeling is magnified and we won’t be able to resolve our issues fast enough. The desire to come to quick solutions is on rapid fire today. Notice how fast you are moving and how quickly your emotions are taking you into new territory. Today may not be the best day to bring up irritations for those who already have a short temper.

Sunday 12th

There is charity abound and a general sense of optimism and abundance. Things just seem to be working out and running smoothly, it’s like time is on our side. Ride this wave of good fortune and let yourself take the long way home for the purpose of practicing spontaneity. There is ease and flow through the universe today!
