Sun = Taurus 8°14’ – Taurus 21° 48’
Moon = Leo – Scorpio
Moving into the second decan of Taurus — which has an association with the 6 of Pentacles, a card that speaks to the management of wealth and resources. A languid approach that suffers no waste of energy is what we seek throughout the week. Taurus is the quintessence of unencumbered effort, flawless in her laissez-faire approach to external stimuli, the bull equates to Queendom. If and when she is pushed to make a move, she will be most exact and practical, so as to not waste one ounce of energy. She may even call in what she needs from her courtiers, knowing well that her presence is payment enough, much like her square part, Leo, the intelligence of doing less precedes her. Through the week, the Sun in Taurus finds common ground with the Moon in Virgo, offering tactile reasoning for more efficient financial dealings. Critical and aware, the Moon shifts from flagrant Leo, to pious Virgo, to sheepish Libra, to cut-throat Scorpio. Find a rhythm with the shifting tides, a net positive would be to confirm for oneself the independence of projections received and perceived.
Mercury ingresses into Taurus on the 10th at 5:15am PDT. The mind has a moment to calm down and not seek out instant answers, gratification and actions which act as distractions, yes, but also acts of instigation for new conversations that have no intention of ending. Mercury will be in Taurus until June 8th, calming the senses and allowing for rest and recuperation to ease us into a new way of intellectualizing past situations. Rather than doing, we can sit and stew in what has been done in order to gain deeper insight into how our past behaviors have influenced the nervous system. Mercury in Aries brought in a rush of experiences and new, inspiring ideas but it’s now time to sit with it all and develop a protocol which will aid in the creation of something new.
Some minor aspects for Mercury this week: Mercury sextile Jupiter and conjunct Chiron. The mind is ignited when Mercury and Jupiter meet up due to their associations with the fire and air elements. This is the last hurrah of inspo before Mercury ingresses into Taurus to calm the mind of its continual rat race problem-solving abilities. With the Mercury/Jupiter connection in the Fire and Air elements, an undeniable amount of intellectual ammo becomes locked and loaded, ready to fire facts and details in any direction. A little bit of information goes a long way. Be careful that you are not using your intellect as a weapon.
Monday 5th
A little bit of knowledge takes us on a rocket ship to outer space. When we gain a little wisdom on a subject, it can feel like we’ve hit the jackpot, running with an idea into oblivion before really sitting down and considering all angles. We may jump to conclusions faster than normal, and hit the gas to fill in the blanks. It is a dizzying excitement that catches us in mid-air. Moon enters Virgo today just after a square with Uranus, the day is buzzing and restless. Use this motivating energy to catch up on projects, dig into analysis and reports that require a heftier amount of mental energy because today the tides are pushing momentum forward.
Moon trine Chiron, square Uranus, Moon > Virgo at 12:39pm, Mercury sextile Jupiter.
Tuesday 6th
An earthy trine between the Sun and Moon offers up some stabilizing energy, which helps to slow the energy down to a pace that is more manageable. Being able to take care of the physical body and personal space creates a lasting effect on mental stability. Take some time out of the chaos to assess where your energy would be best spent at this time. Venus and Pluto retrograde are in a sextile aspect today, allowing for gentle reminders of how and why we have let go/adjusted ourselves in relation to one another. An old conversation may crop up around relationships and love that offer more insights this time around.
Moon trine Sun, Venus sextile Pluto rx, Mercury conjunct Chiron.
Wednesday 7th
A tension point between the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn surfaces today in the mutable cross – having to make a decision or take direct action by admitting where we went wrong in the past hits today. Moon in Virgo is quite sensitive to critique and strives for perfection in all of its dealings, so when she meets in an opposition with Saturn, there is a rebalancing of old actions to right a wrong of the past. This is to help aid in calming the nerves because after the acknowledgement is made regarding where we may have had poor judgement on a particular situation, we can move forward with more clarity and certainty.
Moon square Jupiter, opposite NN, trine Uranus, opposite Saturn.
Thursday 8th
Moon enters Libra, putting pressure on us to rebalance our own expectations and those that we project onto others. When the Moon is in Libra, she unmistakably adapts her wants and needs to those of those who are around. Eith the opposition to Venus and Neptune, it is paramount that we realize how much of ourselves are being sacrificed for the purpose of maintaining the peace. Also, notice how much of someone else’s desires you are taking on as your own or how much of your own desires you are projecting out onto the other. Two mirrors placed opposite one another create a trap that we can’t escape unless we direct the focus out into a free space.
Moon > Libra at 12:06 am, Moon opposite Neptune, trine Pluto rx, opposite Venus, sextile Mars.
Friday 9th
The Moon is void of course for the majority of the day after she trines Jupiter. We are left with ambivalence after learning about some information which we may want to take action on but will feel a bit confused as to which direction to move in. Void of course Moons leave us with a lingering feeling of whatever the last aspect is that the Moon had made before going off into the void of her own existence. We aren’t to make any decisions right now, nor are we to think too critically or deeply about a situation, not until we can feel a gentle knowing pull us out of a haze, which requires being still and quiet.
Moon trine Jupiter, Voc Moon for 12h41m from 11:17pm PDT on the 9th – 12:57pm PDT on the 10th.
Saturday 10th
Now is when the information that we seek comes to surface and the message is indefinitely to go slow. Mercury enters Taurus today, right as the Moon enters Scorpio, putting us at odds with our practical minds and wild emotions. It can be hard to suss out whether we should be making decisions solely based on practicality or intuition and it will feel like we can only make a decision based on one or the other. There isn’t much nuance with this day, vying for harsh and stern boundaries rather than the old Moon in Libra ways of compromise.
Moon opposite Chiron, Moon > Scorpio at 12:58pm PDT, opposite Mercury, square Pluto rx, Mercury > Taurus at 5:15am PDT.
Sunday 11th
What is it that forces one to take up arms and defend to the end? A war on complacency is the modern motif for the Western world. What is it that drives one to choose violence over peace? These sorts of questions come to mind while the Moon in Scorpio is square Mars in Leo. The desire to corrupt conformity through acts of the impassioned will trigger a potent energy from within. The desire to kill frivolous displays of ego for the sake of a deeper and higher calling shows itself in a myriad of ways.
Moon square Mars.
