Uranus enters Taurus, where it will transit until April 25/26 of 2026. The past four months have provided a sneak preview of the technological changes in store for us, once the planet of revolution moves into Gemini for the long haul. And while those of you with planets in the final degrees of Taurus may have been glad for a brief reprieve, Uranus’ final touchdown in this terrain offers a chance to resolve some unfinished business.
Uranus’ electrifying presence in Taurus since 2018 has featured financial innovations (think digital currency), supply chain shakeups, ecological upsets and food insecurity. Yet, we’ve spent the past few months distracted by shinier objects; the ways in which the communications and media landscape are being overhauled or consolidated. Now we are brought back to the tangibles, and reminded that one cannot eat ideas. Survival itself is the purview of Taurus.
As the sources of provision that we thought were constant dwindle away (or violently dissipate), it is necessary to connect with our bodies and find our internal rhythm to counteract scarcity. Uranus in Taurus encourages us to put out feet on the earth, to stop and smell the roses, even when the landscape around us is rapidly evolving. As quantity is prioritized over quality, and speed is mistaken for 'efficiency', slowing down is a radical, Uranian act. The value of communing with the earth through the senses is still necessary. It is critical to come home into your body, to connect with your breath; to be here now. For the next five months, be aware that opting into upgrades can counterintuitively downgrade your lived experience. Eschew the virtual for the material. Know that relaxation is resistance.
