Sun enters Virgo
Sun enters Virgo

The sun ingresses into meticulous Virgo today, trading self-expressive extravagance for practical strategy. If Leo season gave us one takeaway, it has been to reveal in which arenas we've been selling ourselves short. The rewards gained by following our heart have been evident. Even amidst challenges provoked by Venus retrograde, self-confidence and conviction has blossomed. Whether we've rediscovered a soul-fueling creative practice or recommitted to talents sidelined in the name of “sensibility”, the thought of silencing our spirit to accommodate another's comfort level will no longer fly. This breakthrough has motivated us to step unapologetically into our own narrative.
And that’s great! Only, identifying what we want out of life is just step one. Determining HOW to make our vision a reality is a much more nuanced step two. Fortunately, this is where the Virgo sun can offer an assist, by helping us to craft a game-plan for its attainment.
Virgo has a reputation for being detail-oriented and methodical. And these buzzwords accurately represent Virgo in its most clarified distillation. But anyone who knows a flesh-and-blood Virgo sun native knows that this romanticized characterization isn’t the whole truth. It is not that Virgo suns are MORE organized. It’s that THEY know where everything is, even if their cataloguing techniques make zero sense to anyone else. Virgo researches and develops procedures. But ultimately, Virgo plays by the rules Virgo makes up. And although their organizational efforts MAY have broad appeal and utility, this would only be an accidental consequence of designing something for their own purposes.
This is the attitude to adopt as we step into Virgo season. If we want to architect a meaningful life, one which reflects our passions, we need to create some rules to live by; we need a system. But the design of the system is OUR OWN to engineer. The coming month encourages doing the research. Figure out what works for you. Scrap the rest.
