Sun enters Scorpio
Sun enters Scorpio

The sun enters Scorpio today, joining up with Mercury and Mars, and drawing us further into the amassing energetic vortex of Saturday/Sunday’s impending Taurus lunar eclipse.
Over the past week, we’ve been scrambling to integrate the lessons of the recent solar eclipse in Libra. But evolution can’t be rushed, and it’s natural to feel pulled in several directions now. We are at the mercy of events outside of our control, unsure of what choices to make next, grappling with the reality that life is about to change. Many of us have already been brought to our knees. The rest of us are bracing for impact.
So, let’s just say that the sun’s ingress into Scorpio isn’t doing much to *diminish* these tensions. Lunar eclipses herald cosmic breakthroughs and culminations, and Scorpio itself is THE sign of change and transmutation. The sun’s presence here galvanizes our inner shapeshifter’s impetus toward dynamism. It affirms our soul’s desire for liberation – even if our ego is crying out for a reprieve.
But in this terrain, at the very least, we perceive the logic at work beneath our current unrest. We recognize the truth: that there is nothing worse than a life devoid of passion. This is why we may now be unconsciously driven to seek out challenges for initiation and awakening.
The sun’s transit through Scorpio will also deliver us to Samhain, the cross-quarter day commonly associated with the thinning of the veil between life and the afterlife, a time of communing with ancestral spirits. This holiday reminds us that there IS life on the other side, wisdom that we can interpret, metaphysically, or emotionally. The Scorpio sun teaches us that on the other side of death, there is an opportunity for rebirth. On the other side of sorrow and loss, there is healing. On the other side of the release, there is redemption and renewal. And on the other side of fear is life more intentionally and ardently LIVED.
