Sun Enters Libra

We’ve spoken a bit about how Venus’ retrograde fosters fall’s major themes, and while it hasn’t technically begun yet, we’re already deep in its story arc due to the evening star passing through the degrees of its post-retrograde shadow. As the sun enters Libra, and presents us with the equinox, it is entering Venus’ domicile, so harmony and equanimity become particularly relevant. However, what is more interesting is that in five days, when Mars enters Cancer, all planetary roads will lead back to Venus through their dispositor chains.

The shorthand is this: the balance is presently either elegantly equalized, or off in ways that are VERY noticeable. And it’s not so much that we expect our lives to resemble some kind of picture-perfect ideal. We are realistic about our capacity or others’ ability to reciprocate. The issue is that something is off in an UNJUST way. Something has kinked up, communally or relationally, and we may become fixated on unkinking it. The problem: we’re not going to get there by “fixing” another’s behavior. We must strive to take responsibility for our part in the action without micromanaging another’s decisions. The next month in particular is one where we must recognize the futility of peace-keeping measures that aren’t going to work for us anymore. Sacrificing to our detriment, making compromises that largely benefit another party, trying to keep things light and easy and fun when they NEED to be complex to function in a healthy way, trying to MAKE someone else see our value; these are all impulses to be avoided now. Drawing or reinforcing kind boundaries, ensuring that deals are equitable, chancing depth without losing levity, and speaking and acting in ways that engender MUTUAL respect; this is your assignment.
