Amongst the plethora of astrological spectacles happening this month, one of the more notable is Neptune entering the cardinal fire sign Aries. Neptune’s transit reflects the evolution of spiritual and human consciousness along with our connection to the subconscious mind. While in Pisces, Neptune cracked the lid on new age spiritual practices blending and melding different ideologies along with propelling the 'pseudo' scientific community into popular culture with the rapid spread of Astrology, numerology, yoga, tarot, human design, quantum healing, reiki, and Fung Shei – just to name a few.
Neptune entered Pisces in February 2012, which awakened many of us to our spiritual journey in hopes to connect with something greater or beyond. The desire to integrate mundane life with one that reflected a purposeful and divinely guided path exploded within the collective. We likely wouldn’t even be here, discussing such 'woo' topics if it weren’t for the progression of Neptune through Pisces, the sign of limitless imagination. But now that Neptune is moving into Aries, that sense of divinity will now be directed inward, to the self with less of a focus on seeking spiritual tenement from an outside, terrestrial source but from within.
Neptune will inspire us to transcend the singular self and blur the lines between ‘you’ and
‘me’, shattering the perception of ‘other’. For the next 13 years we will see rapid development in the sciences along with personal experiences of telepathic communication and a deeper understanding of cognition and how consciousness works as a collective energy source, rather than individual satellites. On the flip side, many people may feel inclined to retreat into hermitage, seeking refuge within and working alone in self-development, rather than with a spiritual community.
Just about the entirety of Neptune’s transit through Aries is accompanied by supportive influences with Pluto and Uranus, generating the perfect cosmic soup for advancing the way we perceive reality. Once you learn something, you can’t unlearn it. Once humanity accepts the inherent connectivity of all living things, it will undoubtedly change how we see and engage with the material world forever.
