Mercury Enters Aries

Mercury Enters Aries
3rd PST 1:04 AM / 3rd AEDT 8:04 PM
Mercury enters Aries, where it will spend the next 26 days, before ingressing *back* into Pisces. Another Mercury retrograde looms on the horizon. However, we’ve already been in Mercury’s pre-retrograde shadow (that is, the zodiacal degree that Mercury will return to during its Rx travels) since March 1. Even before Mercury makes its about-face on March 15/16, you may notice the frequency of miscommunications pick up or conversations circling back to specific themes.
Mercury in Aries is a sharp tongue and a cutting retort. It’s speaking before thinking. Most importantly, Aries Mercury wants us to make a decision and move on. Aries is pioneer territory and pioneers aren’t overly concerned with protocol. Moving the needle forward requires incisive observation, snap judgements and the transmission of ideas at speed, not weighing options and ruminating over the long-term repercussions.
The issue lies in the follow through. An immediate solution may only work in the immediate. And a harsh tone or arrogant attitude can complicate matters by accidentally pitting us against a would-be ally.
If Mercury sped through Aries in it’s typical two to three week transit time, we might not have to worry about this. However, since Mercury is currently slowing down to station, we must deal with the centrifugal disorientation of saying something brash and having that moment hang in the air. Or making an instinctive decision and observing how the implications of that decision… linger. The more impatient we become, the longer we will have to sit with impatience, an unwilling witness to our own confrontational or competitive impulses. Be mindful of what you say and how you say it in the coming days. Good, bad or indifferent, you will be revisiting it in the weeks ahead!
