Mars Enters Leo

After nearly seven weeks in Cancer, Mars enters Leo, opposing Pluto and squaring Venus in the process. While spicy interactions are forecast, we ARE exiting a month of Mars in the sign of its fall, and a bit of ego rejuvenation will be welcome! During Mars in Cancer, we operated from a desire for security, and certain ill-thought-out strategies were concocted to stabilize circumstances to that end. Mars in Cancer emphasizes primal needs. Are we safe or unsafe? Are we nourished or undernourished? As the tides fluctuate, actions become increasingly urgent, and decisions are not best made from a place of urgency.

And so now that Mars is in Leo, we’re sitting with the ramifications of recent choices made under duress, and we have BIG feelings about it. Maybe we’re big mad. Maybe we have something to prove and security seems less critical than calling out those who doubted us! To make matters even sillier, Mars is about to perfect a trine with Neptune, distorting self-perception to a grandiose degree. If we must be delulu, at least this a romantic, quixotic kind of delulu, and we will probably remain charming and endearing throughout this transit even if pride does destine us for an inevitable fall.

Becoming too big for our britches could have hilarious consequences, especially after we enter November and Mars aligns with Jupiter and the South Node. Having a sense of humor will save us all now. Staying creative and insisting on the merits of our talents is important, even if we've oversold ourselves to impress an audience. Mars in Leo can make us petulant, but it can also help us to find FUN in the midst of the chaotic exchanges stirred up by Venus’ retrograde. So don’t take yourself too seriously. And remember: life is a game to be played, not a battle to be won.
