After five months retrograde, Chiron stations direct in Aries; its penultimate direct station in Aries for the foreseeable future. Chiron will enter Taurus in June of this year, for the first time since 1984, providing a sneak preview of Taurean healing themes, before backing into Aries for one last dance.
Chiron has been in Aries since 2018, imparting lessons in initiative, self-advocacy and courage. The wounded-healer’s transits highlight insecurities regarding our ability to lead, and to that end, we’ve had to deal with many crises of confidence in recent years. Comparison is the thief of joy, and when we are pitting our life experiences against the optics of every influencer, business mogul and warrior we see, it can distort our sense of agency and pride.
When Chiron is retrograde, WE often beat ourselves up and diminish our achievements before others have the opportunity to, if for no other reason than to reclaim some false, warped façade of authority. Yet, 'you can’t hurt me, I’ve already hurt myself!' only goes so far as a living ethos, and by the end of Chiron’s backspins we generally understand the futility of that practice. Conversely, when Chiron is direct, bullies show up on the scene to test our mettle. Other people DO try to tear down our progress or undermine our successes. But hopefully, not only with THIS retrograde out of the way, but *so many years* of Chiron’s retrogrades in Aries behind us, we are practiced in banishing the bullies AND the imposter syndrome, reclaiming our accomplishments for the warrior within.
