Astro New Year / Equinox reflections
Pisces season, for me, has been a time of internal assimilation, gathering the pieces of what has been whirling over the past year. I am an observer, and I have been observing, digesting, processing, navigating, reflecting. It has not been an easy time, internally or externally.
What does the future look like and how do we gracefully navigate the change we are in to prepare us sustainably for more change to come?
We are on a long bridge between worlds, crossing from the old to the new. There is tension and upheaval around the globe against old ways of being, as the tides carry us into the unknown. The world is rapidly changing, and like many times in history, it feels like we’re teetering on the edge of transformation or collapse.
We are seeing the results of centuries of extraction, exploitation, and imbalance. Climate crises, global conflicts, economic instability, and societal breakdowns are all echoes of past patterns. The warnings have been there, but humanity often ignores them until a breaking point is reached.
We are in a moment of choice: Do we continue down this path, accelerating toward collapse? Or do we shift, recalibrate, and create something new?
Like any version of big change, there is a moment in time when all things come to a head, a shift happens - like an alchemical transformation - and suddenly we are in a new state. The world looks completely different, and there is no going back. Only forward, adjusting, expanding, evolving. Life creates life.
I'm not of a doomsday mindset, I'm an optimist, but I do ask the hard questions and follow the threads to all possible outcomes and realities I can perceive. I tune in, listen and feel. And when things get tough and seem bleak, I come back to this: Life creates life.
We are not here to create our own demise, however much it seems the case when you observe the current global landscape. We are saying goodbye to an old version of ourselves.
We are here to learn, to grow, to create, to evolve, to expand, to experience this Great Mystery we are all a part of. As painful, challenging, unknown, chaotic, ecstatic and expansive it is. The full spectrum of the creative journey itself.
We are moving incredibly fast into a very different looking world but a slow farewell to the Age of Pisces, an era of illusion, sacrifice, and hierarchy, and the birth of the Age of Aquarius, sparking collective evolution, truth-seeking, and innovation. Transition is always messy. The old does not go quietly. We are truly in the fires of transmutation.
As Aries season ignites the Astrological New Year, it's time to gather back all fragments of the self. Recalibrate, reset boundaries, readjust the input streams, refine our focus and zones of concerns, and prepare ourselves to walk into the unknown together, better versions than before.
How we meet this moment will shape what comes next.
