It may seem unfair that I am reviewing an item I never received. However, I believe this is an invaluable warning towards others who might be interested in purchasing from this store. I placed an order and was notified AFTER purchasing that this would be a preorder. Okay, no problem. The website states that the preorder for this item will be shipped in November. I purchased December 6th. I get notified December 15th that the item is still on back order and will hopefully get shipped before the new year. A good sign since I would like these items prior to the new year as they consist of a planner and calendar for 2026. Also at this point the website states all orders placed prior to 12/24 will be delivered by the new year. On 12/27 I receive a notice that my order has “shipped” however it never updates past that. I reach out early January (due to the holidays I expected delays and was trying to give this store some grace) as DHL notifies me that the package is unable to be delivered and to contact the merchant. This store states that can just happen sometimes but everything should be good and if it doesn’t move after a few days they will sort it out. After a week with no movement and no update from the shop, I reach out again and they say because I purchased limited edition items they cannot resend my items but I can choose other available items. So it’s obvious my order was never actually “escalated”. I was able to receive my refund and the customer service agent was very nice. Although it was off putting to receive multiple messages reminding me this is “a small family owned business” as if that absolves them from providing the merchandise I paid for - without warning that I would receive the merchandise before the new year, or in my case ever. I understand this negative experience review may get removed, however I plan on detailing my experience online if that is the case as I believe potential customers should be warned if they are like myself and allocate an amount of money to purchase a planner/journal/calendar for the new year that Magic Of I may not provide the products and they will have to wait for a refund well into the new year to purchase alternatives.
