October Transits and Monthly Overview
As we enter October, all planets answer to Venus and Venus is set to begin its retrograde in Scorpio in two days. Just as with Mercury’s retrogrades, this is an occasion for “re” words: reconsider, review, and most importantly reevaluate, as Venus speaks to what we value. Maybe it is our things or our people. Hopefully, we value our Selves, but if this isn’t the case, Venus Rx is a great time to ask ourselves why self-worth is in short supply. Venus in Scorpio specifically encourages this underworld exploration; the depth psychology work. Sometimes we must let go in order to grow in a healthier direction, or we must temporarily part ways to learn something important about our agency or capacity. If attempting to keep something is costing us our peace, it’s not worth the trouble.
NOTABLE TRANSITS
October 3 – Venus Retrograde in Scorpio: asking us to reevaluate romantic and financial priorities, especially those where negotiating shared accounts, assets, and responsibilities with partners is involved.
October 15/16 – Pluto Direct: foreshadowing increased transformation within communities, where motivations and mindsets around progress will diverge.
October 23/24 – Sun enters Scorpio: we are more inclined to be provocative now if it means getting our desires met, but we are also more thoughtful about why we have the desires we do. Scorpio season will transform us for the better, if we embrace the changes it wants to instigate.
October 24 – Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio: so do your homework, look for clues, but don’t be paranoid about it. There may be some kissing and making up during this transit but wait until Mercury is direct to settle into the terms of redefined relationships.
October 25/26 – Venus enters Libra: in Rx motion, encouraging us to remember that inner harmony is the point of all of this soul searching and self-evaluation.
