Venus Stations Retrograde

Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio, beginning its six-weeks descent and reemergence as a morning star. We have, however, been in the grips of its retrograde storyline for about a month already. Consider the exchanges and energetic entanglements that you’ve experienced. These incidents may have given you pause or food for thought, or they may have quickly been subsumed into your subconscious, waiting for THIS particular moment to resurface. Reflect on the relationships that have been testing your patience. Or the money habits that are prompting a reckoning. Has sharing (materially or emotionally) been an issue? Have you had to advocate for your worth or confidently broach taboo topics? Now is our chance to reverse course with an inquiring mind; to scrutinize our connections or values.

And yes, dialogues or dealings might become harsh now. This Venus Rx is overseen by Mars in Leo, bringing pride into the picture and threatening to disrupt our desire for authenticity with theatrical outbursts. People can be cruel, delivering loyalty tests and making ultimatums. Should this happen, check your urge to prolong the intensity of a situation to “get one over” on someone who’s hurt you. This is not a game of one-upmanship. This is an opportunity to identify the obvious flaws within our relationship dynamics and choose to divest from what is causing us pain. It can be easy to forget that the other side of the brutal Scorpio coin is its capacity for healing and regeneration. Accepting what we can’t change in others while honoring where boundaries must be enforced to maintain self-respect is a major theme. For more reflection fodder: the next month is a major callback to Venus’ October/November Rx through Scorpio in 2018. Look back to that time for reference.
