Venus Retrograde Enters Libra
Venus Retrograde Enters Libra

Venus returns to Libra, crossing a threshold it last transited on September 10. The romance planet is still retrograde, dragging us (figuratively or literally) through relational underworlds of our own making. Awareness of our desires, compulsions and values is shifting. Emotions run high. Wounds are reopened. The persistence of memory persists.
And yet all this heartache and liminal deconstruction is not without purpose. Venus’ return to its domicile reminds us of the thing we’re actually after: peace. Peace of mind, ease of experience, balance in our interactions. Venus in Scorpio emphasizes that we should not be afraid to bond deeply, to embrace love passionately, and to resolve conflicts rather than to sweep them under the rug; all things that are NOT endemic to Venus in Libra. However, Venus’ Libran homecoming cosmically suggests that we are DOING the Scorpionic work in order to GET Libran results. We are allowed to have simplicity and ease without believing we need to earn it through struggle and strife. We should know we are deserving of sweetness and beauty without having to pass loyalty tests or make sacrifices to earn another’s respect. Doing the difficult dance of compromise and self-advocacy SHOULD be rewarded with contentment.
Venus in Libra is our sought-after prize. This isn’t to say that we have passed Venus’ retrograde tests, not yet. However, it confirms which conflicts are no longer worth your time, effort and energy. It will help you to reaffirm a sense of self-worth that you’ve struggled to maintain in recent weeks. And most importantly, when Venus goes direct, relational struggles can be retraced with newfound security, a confidence in your non-negotiables, and an unwillingness to settle for scraps.
